**Your new company**
Your new company is a very well-established International Lloyds Broker based in the Heart of the City of London. Working from their attractive and spacious offices as a Marine (Cargo)Claims Manager you will be overseeing and managing the operation of claimsfor the Claims division in London.
**Your new role**
In your new role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Claims operation for the London division actively using your skills, experience and leveraging your relationships in the market to help maximise new business opportunities whilst alsoimproving the retention rate on existing accounts.
You will need to be capable of providing technical support to your team and colleagues, assuming responsibility for the management of Marine and Transportation Claims in London and helping the team handle the highly complex, contentious claims.
Outside of this you will also need to provide instruction, guidance, and support to new employees as and when required, negotiate with Underwriter's Claims department to always ensure a satisfactory outcome for clients claims, maintain additional data recordsin monthly claims spreadsheets and act as a point of contact for the other Regional Claims teams around the country.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will also need to be a very confident communicator in both verbal and written format, possess very high levels of Numeracy and Literacy skills and be a very confident networker in order to create and build upon existing relationships. You will need to bepassionate about mentoring and growing more junior members of the team as whilst you do not have specific line management duties training and internal career development is a key aspect to our clients DNA.
You will also need to be very analytical, able to react positively to change, able to work independently and have a strong understanding of regulatory environment and how they impact our clients organisation at large.
