**Key responsibilities**:

- Managing and preparing monthly management accounts of Group subsidiaries (UK & NL subsidiary and Denmark branch)
- Prepare Group consolidation and reporting on monthly basis to HQ Finance Team in Japan
- Preparation of annual financial statements in UK and Netherlands
- Manage and prepare VAT returns, Corporation tax returns in multiple jurisdictions, with an awareness of Transfer Pricing policies and procedures
- Implement strong internal processes and controls with free rein to implement, automate and improve the finance function and its systems
- Other functional responsibilities such as corporate governance, technical accounting, multi-currency bank reconciliations, cross-border-VAT, customs processes for UK imports/exports
- Monitoring cash balances, prepare payment requests, reviewing payment instructions to ensure compliance with policies
- Prepare budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis and cashflow reporting on monthly basis
- Manage and address accounting audit, internal audit and tax audit issues as they arise
- Undertaking ad hoc financial requests from HQ Finance team in Japan
- Ad hoc financial, compliance and FP&A tasks for Group entities at the request of CFO

**Key skills**:

- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Previous Audit experience a plus with strong technical finance knowledge
- Strong IFRS knowledge, including but not limited to IFRS 15 & 16
- Excel skills essential. Excellent numerical, accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong experience using ERP systems and making improvements to the system (Odoo & SAP)
- Well organised, detail oriented with ability to work under pressure; meet deadlines whilst managing multiple concurrent tasks
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders without a finance background
