Woodlands is a Consultant led Specialist Level 2 Neurological Rehabilitation Centre based in York. We work in conjunction with York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Humber Coast and Vale STP, to deliver high quality intensive neurological rehabilitation, physical, cognitive, functional and vocational assessments, behavioral management, and complex disability assessments for patients above the age of 18.

We support patients with acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury, severe neurological conditions, complex stroke and spinal cord injury. We can undertake SMART assessments for patients in Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness (PDoC) and create bespoke treatment plans.

The Centre is a purpose built building with 27 ensuite bedrooms set within 3.5 acres of gardens.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and friendly individual who will have a genuine interest in patient care and works well as part of a housekeeping team who will be working 5 days over 7 with every other weekend off.

- To maintain excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the centre
- To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
- To comply with COSHH and health and safety regulations.
- To ensure the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the centre
- To ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily.
- To maintain standards of infection control whilst working within the laundry area and generally within the centre
- Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within the rota but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards

**Requirements of the role**:

- Flexible attitude to working hours which total 30 hours per week
- To be enthusiastic and conscientious, diligent and to have a flexible approach, and "can do attitude"
