Randstad are excited to be working with a well known Care company in Birmingham. We're looking to recruit caring, compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to support young children who've been through some very traumatic experiences. We are looking to provide young people with stable care, encouraging the young people to engage with other people, education and activities with the goal of enabling them to lead a full and happy life.

Key Responsibilities:
...- Establishing positive relationships with the children and young people in our care, promoting their well-being and development.
- Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment within the residential home.
- Assisting with the implementation of care plans and individualised support strategies.
- Supporting children and young people in their daily activities, including personal care, education, and social interactions.
- Encouraging and facilitating the development of life skills and independence.
- Working collaboratively with other staff members, external agencies, and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children and young people.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of 2 years experience working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging behaviour.
- A compassionate and patient approach to working with children and young people.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
