Malvern Special Families is looking to recruit enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced playworkers to work at the Malvern based, Saturday and Holiday Clubs including half terms, Easter and the summer. Hours are flexible around your availability.

You must have:

- At least 1 year experience of supporting children with a variety of support needs including autism, and complex and challenging behaviour.
- Ideally have a Level 2 childcare qualification or above
- Be over 18 years old.

**Location**:

- The Poolbrook Centre, Bluebell Close, Malvern WR14 3SW

Hours: usually 9.30am-3.30pm during club dates

Pay: £10.00per hour (£11.20 inc. holiday pay)
- To assist with activities for children appropriate to their needs in both indoor and outdoor settings, including trips out, sports activities and swimming.
- To supervise individuals/groups of children or young people in a keyworker capacity, ensuring their safety.
- To undertake those activities necessary to meet the physical and emotional needs of individuals.
- To respond positively to the needs of the children/young people, encouraging their engagement, promoting progress and praising achievements.
- Actively engage in risk assessments, setting up, packing away, cleaning as necessary (our clubs are all pack away settings).
- To assist at an appropriate level with the general care and welfare of children/young people, including personal and intimate care.
- To assist in all the physical management needs of the young people including their safe positioning and hoisting. To have appositive approach to behaviour management.
- To undertake play activities with children/young people and ensure everyone is included.

- Fort Royal Community primary School, (supporting Children aged 5-11 yrs)
- Regency High School (supporting Young People aged 11-18 yrs)
