We are looking to recruit Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join a high performing and creative team. The team comprises a PWP team lead, 3 PWP managers, 4 senior PWPs, qualified PWPs and trainee / apprentice PWPs. This is an opportunity for qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to develop their career in the Low Intensity service. This role involves offering evidence-based practice in delivering low intensity interventions such as guided self-help (6-8 sessions) and computerised CBT (SilverCloud) within an IAPT service. We also value experience or interest of delivering therapy in a group format.

PWPs will contribute towards taking on areas of special interest. Some of the current ones we have are long term health conditions, BME, LGBTIQ+, perinatal and service user involvement. We have regular training opportunities for PWP providing teaching and CPD from peers, senior colleagues and external trainers. Each PWP receives three types of supervision: weekly case management supervision of caseload; weekly dispersal supervision of triage assessments; monthly clinical skills supervision; quarterly reflective practice.

- Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the department’s referral protocols
- Provide a range of information and support for evidence based high-volume low-intensity psychological treatments. This may include guided self-help computerised CBT, information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be face to face, telephone or via other media
- Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient
- Keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols and use these records and clinical outcome data in clinical decision making.
- Work closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations

These vacancies are offered as permanent posts, with the expectation that all clinical staff work one late evening per week (12pm until 8pm). We currently offer blended working, working from both home and from the office. We will continue to review this approach in line with future service needs.
