Consultant Psychological Lead for Disordered Eating

We are seeking to appoint a Consultant Psychological Lead for our Disordered Eating pathways who shares our commitment to population health, integrated care, recovery and co-production. The service was developed in collaboration with experts by experience, as part of the community mental health transformation.
This post has a strategic role in leading and co-ordinating pathways into psychological therapies for people who struggle with their relationship to food in Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets. Working closely with IAPT, CAMHS and Tertiary Services for Eating disorders. The successful post holder will have the drive, enthusiasm and strategic vision to support the psychological professions contribution in realising ELFTs Strategic Plan and ambitions.
This senior role will be a member of the Tower Hamlets Senior Leaders Team (where you will be based) and will work alongside senior managers and clinicians to lead on the provision and development of accessible services for disordered. You will lead (professionally and operationally) the psychological professions in this area.
You will also be a member of the Trust Psychological Professions Board, working with other Consultant Psychological Professionals to inform, develop and deliver the Trusts strategy. ELFT has many talented and committed psychological professionals and you will be key in developing our people at all stages of their careers.
**The Consultant Psychological Lead for Disordered Eating**:
- Is responsible for Strategic planning, development and delivery of the East London Pathway forpeople whose relationship with food, eating and body image is problematic for them or those who care about them
- Provides professional, clinical and operational leadership for the disordered eating pathway across the ELFT East London boroughs
- Is responsible for the development and delivery of well governed, psychological provision monitoring systems, and reviewing and adapting the system based on its feedback and local population health needs (iterative process).
- this includes psychological therapies, specialist assessments, contributing to and leading psychologically informed services and population health initiatives, working in partnership with organisations and stakeholders including Local Authorities, IAPT services, Tertiary Specialist Eating Disorder Services, VCSEs
- Is responsible for ensuring that psychological provision is co-produced, accessible to all residents and responsive to the varying needs of the local populations
- supports the contribution of the psychological professions to research and development
- To provide visible clinical leadership across the pathway, and liaise with stakeholders and partners as appropriate
- To be the main contact and liaison lead for the universities providing MSc component of the adult Clinical Associate in Psychology internal apprenticeship.
