Senior Camhs Clinician in Special Schools Team

The main areas of responsibility are as follows Working to deliver a CAMH service within the school in order to improve the mental health of pupils Providing consultation and training to school staff Liaision with professional networks Attend the special schools case discussion group (1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month 10:45-11:45) A key part of the post holders role will be to understand the underlying needs that lead to behaviours that cause concern, and support the network in planning and implementing interventions to create change. Assessment and direct work with families Supporting non-health staff members in assessing, understanding and managing mental health difficulties and clinical risk in young people. Supporting the implementation of a positive behaviour support model across the network by modelling this in network meetings with other services, e.g. childrens social care, short break providers, etc.
