A specialist team who provide education to the local authorities most vulnerable young people, are looking to appoint reliable Home Tutors to work in Sunderland on a 1:1 basis with students unable to access education.

**About the role**:
Working in the community e.g. residential homes or foster care placements, the desired Home Tutor will be teaching Maths and English on 1:1 basis with students with SEND. This Home Tutor role is long term. Tuition sessions would be for around two - three hours per day (within school hours) depending on the student's needs.

This is a specialist SEN Team who provide tutors to children and young people who are finding it difficult to access education.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant you will:

- Experience of working with students with Autism or other additional needs
- A passion for having a motivating impact on students and maintain focus
- A nurturing and engaging personality
- An ability to build positive relationships with young people

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
