TeacherActive has an amazing opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work with an amazing school based in Durham. The schools offers amazing teaching facilities to encourage students with various specific requirements and disabilities to help enhance their quality of learning and keep the students engaged, which allows such a positive environment.
The school is seeking a SEND experienced Teaching Assistant however also adaptable and able to do general classroom assistance. A successful applicant will be working with Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/ASD, ADHD and other special educational needs. The role of SEND Teaching Assistant is key when providing support to children with additional needs to ensure full engagement of pupils.
A successful SEND Teaching Assistant:
Supporting teaching and learning level 3 and training in SEND.
Experience working with challenging behaviour.
Have the ability encourage pupils' confidence, learning and development.
