**Role: Attendance Officer**

**Location: Haringey, North London**

**Salary: £14-16 per hour**

**Hours: 35 hours per week, term time only
**Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school in Haringey, North London, which is seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join the team for September. If you are passionate about improving attendance and are eager to develop yourself within an educational environment, this opportunity is perfect for you. As an Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role to help improve attendance rates.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the attendance team to support with improving attendance.
- Demonstrate a passion for working with young people and ensure the implementation of effective strategies to encourage regular attendance.
- Build strong relationships and establish rapport quickly with all stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and external agencies.
- Ensure attendance records are accurate and deadlines managed effectively.
- Assist with establishing the whereabouts of absent students and raising any concerns with the school leadership team, if required
- Maintain effective communication and liaise with all stakeholders, providing updates on attendance matters and addressing concerns proactively.
- Work calmly under pressure, ensuring that all expectations regarding attendance are met and supporting students in overcoming attendance barriers.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a school or college environment, in an attendance-related role.
- Ideally have used the "Bromcom" system
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work accurately and manage deadlines effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, students, parents, and external agencies.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and ensure that all attendance-related expectations are met.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
