Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a diligent 'Attendance Officer' for a large secondary school in Croydon. This role offers £12.50 - £15.50 hourly, encompassing 36 hours weekly during term time (38 weeks).

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate communication with stakeholders concerning attendance concerns
- Persistently pursue and document reasons for absenteeism on SIMS (Experience using SIMS is essential, but previous attendance officer experience using Bromcom or Arbor will be considered).
- Foster regular communication with form tutors, furnishing guidance to enhance tutee attendance
- Vigilantly monitor and complete attendance reports
- Arrange parental meetings for addressing attendance/punctuality issues
- Undertake home visits when necessary to support students and families in enhancing attendance
- Initiate correspondence and telephone outreach to bolster attendance
- Compile requisite documentation for rare cases that progress to court proceedings

**Essential Criteria**:
**Previous experience in an Attendance Officer role is absolutely essential**
- Proficiency in comprehensive administrative tasks
- Confident and articulate communicator
- Positive demeanour coupled with problem-solving acumen
- Commitment to upholding the utmost confidentiality in processing received information
- Familiarity with SIMS database (or equivalent such as Bromcom) and prior experience within an educational environment.
