Job Title: Finance and Administration Officer

Responsible to: Project Officer

**Salary**: £13.19 per hour

Hours of Employment: Part Time 20 hours per week.

Annual Leave: 28 days annual holidays plus bank/public holidays, pro rata.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The post holder will:

- Provide administrative support to the Project Manager in relation to the Victims and Survivors Project.
- Be responsible for the maintenance of accounts and the submission of financial claims and verifications, and income and expenditure reports to the Victims and Survivors Service.
- Operate monthly payroll, HMRC and Pension submissions.
- Be responsible for budget and bank reconciliations, and supplier payments.
- Assist with the maintenance of monitoring spreadsheets and the submission of monitoring returns to the Victims and Survivors Service.
- Take minutes of meetings in relation to this project and assist with the preparation of associated documents if required.
- Assist the reception of visitors and telephone switchboard duties.
- Assist with the organisation of programme activities and events.
- Have a flexible attitude to working evenings and weekends when required.

General
- Work as an active and integral part of the REACT team.
- Work with other staff on issues relating to REACT when appropriate to the effective delivery of the organisation’s strategic plan.

Person Specification

Victims and Survivors Project Administration and Finance Officer.

The applicant must have the following:

- Education and Personal Development
- Recognised level 2 IT qualification e.g. ECDL, Clait, City and Guilds IT diploma Skills, Qualities and Knowledge

Essential Skills
- Proficiency in the use of databases and spreadsheets including Access and Excel
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office package including desk top

- Good listening and communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and use initiative in the development of sound
- organisational procedures
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and as part of a team

Essential Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience of working in an office environment
