A position of support worker, an opportunity with flexible working hours over days and nights, has become available in our team. We are a small team consisting of experienced and long serving members of staff with a high level of job satisfaction, as a result of having a great team and working environment our staff turnover is low. Therefore, we are looking to recruit a friendly and caring person to join us in working with the people we support in all aspects of their day to day living, personalised activities within a caring and therapeutic environment.

Woodthorpe Lodge is a small care service that supports 8 adults with a diagnosis of learning disability, Autism and mental health issues. We support people in a friendly and homely environment, working with people on their specific support needs and in a person centred manner. We focus on engaging people around personalised and fun activities. Your role will be to support people in getting involved in activities within the home but also out in the community, attending cinema trips, day trips to the seaside, to name a few.

The role would best suit someone that has a caring nature and likes to work within a caring and friendly environment, supporting people to live their best life and to achieve positive outcomes.

In our recent staff engagement survey 2023 the staff at Woodthorpe Lodge scored highly, in all areas and above the national average. Such as work satisfaction, team working, staff feeling appreciated and supported, and staffs overall wellbeing, reinforcing that we have a happy and productive staff team.
