**SALARY**:£40,000 - £50,000 per annum (Dependant on experience) + Benefits

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Materials Supply Chain Planner with very strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills and previous experience managing a team of staff.

Working as a Senior Materials Supply Chain Planner you will join an established Materials team responsible for managing the inbound supply of parts from the company’s global supplier base into the Assembly Plant.

As a Senior Materials Supply Chain Planner you will focus on achieving on-time delivery whilst maintaining minimum inventory levels and optimising transport costs and storage space.

**DUTIES**

Your role as a Senior Materials Supply Chain Planner will include:

- Lead a team of Material Planners
- Lead departmental improvement project activities, with a focus on the balance of inventory optimisation, transport efficiency and storage space
- Develop relationships and agreements with suppliers to ensure that the supply of parts is being planned and executed effectively according to company requirements
- Lead supplier escalations to quickly resolve all issues that may impact on the supply of parts to the company
- Manage a complex and varied workload, ensuring attention is maintained on key actions
- Measurement, evaluation and publication of supplier performance and supplier risk management
- Achievement and reporting of Company targets on inventory turns, premium freight and transport costs

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Very strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills
- Experience of managing teams
- Self-motivated, flexible team player with the ability to meet deadlines
- Highly computer literate (including Microsoft Excel, data analytics tools)
- Competent in working with MRP
- Degree or equivalent required
- Desirable Six Sigma Greenbelt certified
