We are looking for a **Head of Supply Chain - Leyland**

Competitive salary + a half day on a Friday

**About your new role**:

- You will lead and develop the Site Materials Planning & Logistics Team.
- Maintain Health & Safety requirements and processes within area of control
- Champion 5S standards and ensure housekeeping is maintained within all areas of control
- Develop skills matrices and training plans to provide flexibility within the team to cover periods of absence
- Provide weekly / monthly KPI’s to demonstrate process control and compliance
- Oversee professional, robust and effective relationships with the supplier base are in place
- Implement Group strategies, policies and procedures throughout material planning and warehousing.
- Embed proactive and constructive relationships across the Site functional teams.
- Assess and manage risk to the organisation through management of part shortages and escalation process.
- Ensure material schedules/PO's are released in a timely manner and are actioned by suppliers
- Ensure integrity and control in the planning and supply data (including shortage sheets/key commodities board and associated material supply meetings)
- Understand the ERP requirements and implement and utilise the appropriate functionality within ERP/MRP systems
- Assist in attaining inventory targets
- Assess and drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with business strategy resulting in improved deliverables at the highest efficiency.
- Inventory turns & days of supply
- Material clean to build status to plan
- 99% OTIF to Operations
- Lost & Damaged in line with targeted levels
- Adherence to process
- This is of course a non-exhaustive list and you could be asked to support with a number of related initiatives, as required.

**Requirements**:

- Ideally educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline
- Supply Chain or Logistics specific qualification - CIPS,APICS or IOSCM
- Preferred Six Sigma Certificated
- You will be self-motivated, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and re-prioritise in line with changing business needs.
- To succeed you will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority, internally and externally
- You won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo, constantly striving to improve the way we do things
- Things can be hectic here. You will remain calm under pressure, be able to multi-task and deliver projects on time
- Generally, someone who is approachable, with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
- Highly IT literate, being a competent user of Microsoft Office, and MRP systems.
- Finally, you should be comfortable and enjoy doing all of this in a deadline driven, pressurised environment and willing and able to work outside of core hours as necessary to achieve results.
