With a diverse property portfolio comprising a range of building types and uses, Torridge District Council is responsible for the management of a variety of premises across the District. From beach huts to business centres, the locations of the buildings are as varied as the people that use them. Whether our premises represent part of the services provided for the public, or form part of the wider income generating estate, their operational use and efficiency is equally important.

We are currently looking for an experienced Premises and Facilities Officer to join our Estates Team to manage the care and safe management of our premises and also manage a small team. Reporting directly to the Estates Manager, the post holder will be required to work on their own initiative in the day-to-day operation of the facilities within the estate including:

- Optimising the use of energy throughout the premises across the entire property portfolio
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for further energy efficiency initiatives
- Contributing to the selection of equipment as part of the design development of new premises
- The specification and life cycle replacement of essential plant, smart systems and services throughout the estate

If you have experience in the management of a variety of premises, their energy usage and facilities and would like to work on the banks of the Torridge estuary in Bideford, then we would be pleased to hear from you.
