General Assistant - Housekeeping

Position Overview

Sanctuary Supported Living is excited to announce an opportunity for a General Assistant specializing in housekeeping within our Retirement Communities Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing general cleaning tasks as assigned, ensuring the cleanliness of communal areas, offices, and kitchens.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
  • Identifying and reporting any potential hazards or maintenance issues to uphold a safe environment.
  • Managing stock levels and restocking supplies as necessary, while adhering to operational guidelines.
  • Assisting in meal preparation and beverage service, following food safety protocols to meet the needs of our residents.
  • Respecting and maintaining the privacy and dignity of all customers.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in general cleaning duties is preferred.
  • Previous work experience in a domestic or catering setting is advantageous.
  • Possession of a Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
