**ob Description**:
As Health Policy Assistant, you will assist with the administration and support of the health policy work of the College, by providing administrative and project support to the Head of Health Policy and Policy Managers including managing the business and outputs of several committees and contributing to the wider activities of the team and division. You will play a key role within the Health Policy Team by assisting the coordination of enquiries, communication, administrative and project work within the team and across the health policy work of the College. You will also provide guidance and advice on all policy matters to the Chairs, Officers and members of the committees as well as administrative support to Senior Officers as required. You will be able to work collaboratively while managing a detailed workload and form good working relationships across the College.

**Responsibilities**:
T
- o provide administrative support to five committees including the preparation and distribution of agendas, papers and minutes, prompt delivery of decisions and actions, and maintenance of terms of reference and work plans.

P
- rovide guidance and advice on all policy matters to the Chairs, Officers and members of the committees.

R
- espond to correspondence and enquiries on behalf of the Health Policy team, relevant Chairs of committees and related groups through desk based policy research and liaising with the Health Policy Team, other RCPCH staff, Officers and members as necessary.

P
- rovide support to policy projects or working groups associated with the committees, including organising events as required.

A
- ssist with the development of College policy documents and provide support to develop, review and regularly update policy position statements including carrying out desk-based research as necessary.

- ssist with the administration and drafting of responses to relevant policy consultations and development of regular policy updates.

- repare as necessary the reports of the committees and for Executive Committee.

- rovide administrative support, where required to relevant College Officers.

- oordinate and lead the development of eBulletins and other member communications.

L
- ead uploading policy content onto the RCPCH website and reviewing content of the web pages to identify out of date material.

- rovide administrative support to the Health Policy Team including policy projects, as required.

- rganise and provide administrative support to other meetings as required by the Head of Policy.

- trong communication skills, both oral and written, including excellent report writing skills and the ability to present information in a fluent and persuasive manner to people at a range of levels E
- xperience of working with and influencing a wide range of people at all levels of an organisation and strong experience of working with a variety of teams across an organisation E
- xcellent proven organisational skills and an ability to adopt an orderly and precise approach to work paying careful attention to detail and ability to following standard procedures and ways of working A
- xcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to show tact, discretion and diplomacy as necessary A
