Overview / Responsibilities:
**Senior Piping Designer (Site Based)**

Wood Process & Energy are seeking immediate Senior Piping Design services with demonstrable site based experience to facilitate work on an ongoing EPCm project within the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry for 8 months.

Based at our client site facility in the North East, the appointed Designer will carry out extensive site surveys in accordance with Wood and our client safety regulations.

**Workscope**:

- Produce hand sketches to indicate tie-in design.
- Provide site survey and piping design services using hand sketches and AutoCAD 2D software.
- Produce 2D Piping Tie-in drawings.
- Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract.
- Carry out work in accordance with company and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.
- Design 2D AutoCAD software.
- Ensure that designs comply with all relevant technical standards and procedures.
- Maintain good communication with the project team and with the client.
- Maintain discipline filing system, both electronic and hard copy.

Skills / Qualifications:

- Experienced designer with sound technical piping knowledge, and extensive experience of 2D software.
- Extensive, recent experience of site surveys on live operating plant.
- Extensive, recent experience in the use of 2D AutoCAD software.
- Conversant with ASME B31.3 Design code requirements.
- Able to create base designs and drawings from agreed workscope.
- Experience of MS Excel spreadsheets.
- Able to provide detailed (yellow line) checking of piping deliverables produced by others
- A proven self-starter with the ability to manage your own workload without supervision.
- Conversant with codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation.
- Applicable to piping design activity.
