The Works Control Centre Operative shall be responsible for utilising the systems and process required to support the efficient delivery of the maintenance schedule across Central and Windscale facilities They shall assist with ensuring that delivery of maintenance complies with all Rules Regulations and Legislation (specifically Site License Condition SLC28)

Main Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities for Works Control Centre Operative:

- Works Centre Operative shall use the systems and process required to support the delivery of the maintenance schedule for NNL.
- Responsible for ensuring that all work orders are released to the relevant discipline to prompt the teams to complete the required EIM&T within the defined timescales.
- Responsible for generating unscheduled Work Orders/Breakdown cards as and when required by the relevant discipline. They shall ensure these cards have the required level of detail for Asset Management purposes.
- Responsible for producing up to date maintenance reports for all EIM&T prompts to the relevant stakeholders and as such, prevent wherever practicable any going notifiable.
- Responsible for ensuring that the correct documentation is produced to undertake all amendments to the CMMS/PMS and authorised by the Schedule Co-ordinator prior to any changes being implemented.
- Responsible for implementing methods to provide confidence the PMS is being met for their area(s) of responsibility at any given time. They shall be responsible for creation of all necessary reports in preparation for any internal/external audits or inspections.
- Responsible for ensuring correct management of all documentation associated within their area(s) of responsibility e.g. Job Cards, reports etc. ensuring accurate records are maintained securely as per record retention procedures for any future reference.
- Responsible for inputting into the monthly Engineering Dashboard for both Central and Windscale Laboratories.
- Promote best practice within the team by for example actively participating in Operational Experience Feedback (OEF) or tool box talks.
- Point of contact for local queries relevant to their area(s) of responsibility from plant personnel regarding system information/reporting tools etc.
- Required to support changes to maintenance following TBOMs and as such advise on CMMS service changes and tag hierarchy change requirements.
- Responsible for managing the defect label helpdesk, feeding defects into the daily Engineering POCC.
- Required to support the Asset Management program with information regarding CMMS (PMS/NP).
- Responsible for managing the updating of all Engineering Maintenance Instructions, ensuring all documentation is updated at review and in the correct format.

Essential Criteria for Works Control Centre Operative:

- Demonstrable knowledge of nuclear Safety Mechanisms (SM), Safety Related (SR) and Safety Features (SF).
- Evidence of self-motivation with demonstrable levels of drive, energy and resilience.
- Understanding of Site License Conditions, specifically SLC28.
- Computer literate, particularly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency).

Desirable Criteria for Works Control Centre Operative:

- Demonstrable knowledge of the operational and maintenance requirements within Central Lab.
- Ability to demonstrate conservative decision making, even in pressure situations.
- Ability to interface with both Safety Case and Engineering teams.
