HR Assistant

Job Overview:
Surecall Recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented and organized **Human Resources Assistant** to join our team. We are looking to recruit a strong administrator to our Learning and Development team, working within the HR function. We'd like someone with experience working with an HR platform (we use Oracle but it doesn't need to be that) and who can manage a busy and varied workload with mínimal supervision.
This role would be a great opportunity for someone looking to build on and develop their existing admin skills.
**Please note this is a hybrid role. Any two days of the week on site**
**Responsibilities**:
- Makes judgements on prioritisation of work to manage workload and respond to urgent requests, supported and directed by the Team Leader and Contact Point manager where appropriate.
- Maintains compliance with the Data Protection Act, GDPR and confidentiality of employee information and the Council's data
- Uses HR systems and databases appropriately to record all work actions, ensuring accurate information is stored in line with information and record management policies
**Requirements**:
- Understands what databases are used at the Council and how data is gathered, organised and extracted
- Understands what a career pathway is and how they could be deployed across the Council
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to identify and highlight key trends, as well as integrate external sources of data to ensure a broad level of analysis
- Experience of working in an HR department in a customer focused organisation, proactively facilitating and leading change
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with employees.
