Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an Advanced Practitioner within the Safeguarding Team to work full time based in Northamptonshire.

The salary for this permanent Advanced Practitioner job is up to £44,911 per annum.

**Main duties**:

- Support senior colleagues with the prioritisation, allocation, planning and review of work in accordance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements, contributing to effective budget management, ensuring values for public money and the maximisationof service efficiencies
- Contribute to service monitoring and evaluation, undertaking needs analysis, reviewing availability of resources and development of service practice, policies and strategies to maintain high quality services
- Provide supervision, direction and co-ordination of workloads, support and guidance, appraisal and professional development and support social work students on first and final placements, and students from other professional disciplines
- Undertake clear and detailed service user, carer assessments and interventions in accordance with relevant statutory requirements, minimising risks, with consideration for service user needs and available options
- Manage high complex cases including their planning and review, promoting independence and early intervention as well as the personalisation agenda and self-directed support to minimise risks and improve quality of life for service users and their carers,ensuring targets are met within agreed timescales
- Work with individuals, families, carers and communities to help them make informed decisions, enabling them to clarify their needs, construct value for money care packages and commission a range of appropriate services, as well as respond to their feedbackregarding service provision
- Assist in ensuring that statutory responsibilities are met and fulfilled by the team, ensuring that quality practice standards are achieved in delivery high quality, promoting use of evidence and theory to support practice in complex and changing circumstances
- Undertake preventative work and risk assessments utilising community resources and services such as reablement and tele healthcare
- Provide professional advice, guidance and information to a range of internal and external stakeholders as required, giving evidence in court and working with multi-disciplinary teams in relation to complex cases
- Manage complex transitions cases and chair multi-disciplinary team meetings as appropriate to specialised field/local structures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practice, policy and procedure in relation to vulnerable people as well as keeping abreast of wider service developments to enhance the service accordingly to satisfy internal and external demands

**Requirements of the Advanced Practitioner**:

- CQSW, DipSW, BA Social Work of equivalent professional qualification
- Management qualification at least at Level 4
- At least 1 years’ experience of supervising professional staff
- Knowledge of relevant childcare legislation
- Ability to travel independently to all required areas by the job’s responsibilities
