SW Locums need to find an Advanced Practitioner with UK experience of working with children on child protection plans, child in need plans, and public law/care proceedings. You will be very confident working very closely with other agencies and use a contextualised safeguarding approach to their work.

You must be Social Work England registered, have an Enhanced DBS and hold the right to work in the UK. You MUST be able to hit the ground running. AP experience essential.

Pay rate up to £40 per hour.

Working within NCT Safeguarding Services you will hold case that transfer from DAAT at the first Initial Child Protection Conference or at the first Child in Need meeting. You will hold these cases until closure. If cases escalate to the court arena or long term looked after the case will transfer to the Children in Care Teams.

This is a well established and supportive service which consists of 15 teams, spread across North Northamptonshire (Wellingborough / Kettering / Corby), and West Northamptonshire (Daventry / Northampton). The team boasts security due to having a fully permanent managerial team, and both locum and perm staff are supported to challenge themselves and develop in their career.

Training is available to locum and perm staff, and the service aims to invest in its team members, regardless of their status within the service at the time. The perm team are committed and passionate about the service they provide, and welcome both permanent and locum staff to the service with open arms, they are ‘all in it together’

The Safeguarding service is supported by a stable managerial team, who provide regular supervision and support to the teams. Both team managers and service managers aim to be highly visible and will spend 3 days per week in office to support face to face contact. The service works with young people involved with county line, gang related and organised crime. The team is keen to grow and develop this area of work and is always keen to speak to social workers with an interest in this area.

Expenses:

Up to £150 per week for candidates living over 60 miles away from the office (need to share proof of address with line manager in order to receive)

£30 per day for each day travelled to the office.

£0.45p per mile in mileage
