Overview:
The Contracts and Master Data Management (MDM) group manage and sustain core business services to the Supply & Trading organization. The global Contracts group, based in Houston, London and Singapore, supports contract requirements for the supply and trading business.

This position will be based in the Europe Contracts Team in London.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
The Contract Specialist supports contract requirements for Chevron’s Global Supply and Trading Organization. Timely and accurately prepares contracts by validating trade deal and General Terms and Conditions (GTC), coordinating internal SME reviews and corresponding with the counterparty. Provides contract, GTC and tender guidance and negotiation support to the trading organization. Leads/supports internal and industry led contract simplification, automation and digital initiatives that enhance efficiency.- Generate contracts/reviewing, understanding and drafting responses to contracts received from customers for our purchase of crude and products cargoes.- Incorporating trade economics, complex physical delivery clauses and legal terms.- Liaising with Traders/Trading Analysts to resolve trade discrepancies on a daily basis.- Liaise and negotiate agreeable contract terms with counterparts, state companies and partners.- Administer all contract work from initiation through to completion.- Review and recommend amendments to customers’ General Terms and Conditions (GT&C) as necessary.- Work closely with various departments such as Trading, Operations, Finance, Legal, Credit and Tax.- Work in a fast-moving commercial environment, agreeing priorities and workload in line with business needs and expectations.- Support Natural Gas Europe (NGE) a section of GSAT in S&T, active in UK, Denmark, Germany & Netherlands.- Support the NGE and LNG Commercial teams to negotiate and execute new gas contracts (EFET Master Agreement +Appendices, Gas Supply Agreements, Physical Swap Agreements and LNG MSPAs).

Required skills:
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.- Proactive - Can do attitude.- Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.- Excellent attention to detail.- Customer-focused with good planning and organizational skills.- A team player with strong interpersonal and motivational skills.

Desired skills:
- Familiarity with Supply & Trading and/or supply chain.- Knowledge of trading systems e.g.: Endur and/or RightAngle.- Experience of standard trading and/or contracts practices for either Crude Oil, Product Cargoes, Natural Gas and/or LNG, ideally gained over 1+ years.- Knowledge of Incoterms and transfer of title and risk.- Experience in reviewing Tender documentation.- Understanding of Oil Majors GT&Cs and experience in reviewing counterparties’ GT&Cs/negotiating Side Letters.- Understanding of financial, operational and legal risks.-
- Knowledge of contracting standards and gas pipeline infrastructure network.
