Our client is a leading London Main contractor with a focus on London Residential, Mixed Use projects and Hotels projects range from £60M - £130M. They have both a strong pipeline of work and are tendering and winning a significant number of new projects.
Due to this success, there is a need to add to the commercial and precon team, and we are supporting their search for an Estimator or Senior Estimator.
This position will utilise latest technology to gain a competitive edge on the market, produce an optimum bid success rate, whilst maintaining a client centric mindset. You will also be responsible for the full tender process and to be capable of producingaccurate cost plans.
There is support and training available in this role to enable you to grow with the team and business and also advance your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all tender information and ER's
- Complete a quantified and detailed BoQ's
- Present tender submissions for adjudication
- Prepare built-up rates and pricing information
- Prepare tender packs
- Obtain and analyse tender returnsfor inclusion within tender submission and handover packs
- Review assess and report on tender information
- Attend site visits
- Liaise, provide information and support pre-construction, technical and planning functions
- Prepare detailed risk registers andinformation required for Contractor's Proposals
- Attend pre-tender, mid-tender and post-tender meetings as required
- Negotiate final contract sums
- To prepare handover packs for internal departments including finance
- To assist the commercial teams inestablishing project budgets
You will have:
A relevant Degree or equivalent qualification and experience.
Relevant experience working as an Estimator or Cost Planner in construction.
A good understanding of the Bid/Tender process.
A good understanding of IT and Estimating packages.
