We are currently recruiting a** part time Support Practitioner **to join our dedicated **TouchBase Lanarkshire** team who support people with complex support needs. This is a **permanent role** offering **18 hours per week** during our day centre opening times.

You will be working in a vibrant environment with onsite managers as well as support from colleagues, who all have the same aim to deliver the best quality care. This is a highly satisfying and challenging career for individuals who are enthusiastic, motivated, have a positive view of people with disabilities and even though you might not have experience within a social care setting, if you are willing to learn we can support you every step of the way.

We provide services 7 days a week, however our core working hours at present are Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 5.30pm, however on occasion support people out with these times, therefore will be required to work a Saturday/Sunday on a rota basis when required.

Some of the people we support are non verbal and use other ways to communicate other than speech, instead express themselves through their individual behaviours, therefore having strong communication skills to be able to connect with the people we support is key.

- Are professional. You can deal with complex and sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Are comfortable and confident in using a computer and are IT literate
- Have a good knowledge of services Sense Scotland provide
- Have an understanding of Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) and care standards within Scotland
