An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the regional West of England Hearing Implant Team, University Hospital Bristol and Weston Trust. The team is based within St Michael’s Hospital, Bristol.

We are a regional specialist service caring for severely hearing impaired adults and children across the South West of England. We are looking for two enthusiastic Administrative Assistants to join our team providing a comprehensive, efficient and effective administrative service for the regional West of England Hearing Implant Programme (WEHIP),

To liaise with patients and professionals, both within our multi-disciplinary team and from regional hospitals /centres, around the South West.

We are a small friendly and supportive team who are passionate about our quality of service.

The post-holder will work closely with the Administrator and Administration Co-ordinator as well as other members of the WEHIP team to support the smooth running of the programme.

This key role will be support the process and organise referrals, arrange reviews, distribution of reports and information, log data for clinics and to handle queries and requests from hospitals, families and professionals across the region following WEHIP and Trust protocols.

Good IT skills are required to use the Trust’s Patient administration systems and specialist Auditbase Cochlear Implant database however you will be fully supported and be provided with the necessary training to help you develop confidence in these as appropriate.

We are looking for a person with empathy and excellent communication, accurate record keeping and organisation skills. The successful applicant will demonstrate good team working skills and an ability to work independently to support both our patients and clinical staff in a timely and effective manner.
