This role is to provide a HR business partnering service to the Operations Director and Procurement Director and their direct reports. The role will provide proactive and full HR operational support to the logistics and Procurement teams.

The position reports into the Head of HR UMG/Rail Manufacturing Director. The role is the Senior HRBP for the Manufacturing and Engineering Director.

There is a wide range of activities within the post holder’s responsibility including ensuring HR strategy is deployed in the business area, proactively working with leaders to drive HR and operational performance, ensuing day to day HR partnering and additional projects. The post holder is required to be largely proactive in determining delivery of day to day operational activities, including recruitment and employee relations..

The role is there to ensure Rail is seen as Employer of Choice and therefore attracting and retaining talent. The role is also key in supporting succession and talent management within the manufacturing and engineering area. The role is a key to coach and equip line manager with the skills to lead and motivate their team to deliver world class levels of performance and commitment. The role is pivotal in managing relationships with local trade unions in relation to any collective bargaining agreements. The role is key to ensure the implementation of the division’s employee engagement plans to sustain high level of employee engagement.
