We have a fantastic opportunity for a Media and PR Officer to join our fast-paced and ambitious Media Team, working hard to maximise Plan International UK’s media presence across the UK press.

This is an exciting time to help shape the future of Plan International UK’s media work, with a new organisational strategy just around the corner, and increasing media interest in girls’ rights and youth activism presenting new opportunities within the media landscape. In the role you’ll work on national PR campaigns to raise the profile of our fundraising and campaigning work, including leading on our high-profile Crime Not Compliment campaign, and find innovative ways to reach new and existing supporters through the media.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, determined and solutions-focused team player with experience of working in a media and PR environment, either at agency or in-house. You’ll know how to tell compelling stories, and your writing skills are second-to-none. You know how to build relationships with everyone, from interviewing young people in our programmes to briefing our CEO for a broadcast interview to building a strong journalist network. You’re passionate about media and know the changing UK media landscape inside out, ideally with some experience of working with the consumer press including magazines, podcasts and social media outlets. And above all, you’re passionate about equality for girls.

**First round of interviews will take place via Teams
