Who are Carers Support West Sussex?* We are a charity supporting unpaid carers across West Sussex. With more than 30,000 carers registered with us and an average 16% growth in numbers year-on-year, we are the “go to” organisation for those needing support across the county. Our current estimates are that there are c120,000 carers living in this county. Studies by our national partner, Carers Trust, show that three in five of us will at some time in our lives have a caring role and almost 50% of us will have to do that while in full-time employment.
Carers Support West Sussex employs over 110 staff and is supported by more than 80 volunteers all with wide ranging skills and experience.
Your role as a property coordinator will oversee the development of a premises plan that meets the needs of Carers Support West Sussex. You will be responsible for direct management and oversight of Carers Support West Sussex tenancy of three community properties. This is a hands-on role and the goal is to maximize user satisfaction and develop a premises plan for Carers Support West Sussex which can be sustained by the organisation beyond the lifetime of this project.*

ABOUT YOU*

Previous experience as Property Manager/Officer
- Understanding of property management and its financial aspects
- Knowledge of all rules and regulations surrounding property management
- Strong analytical skills including research and investigation, able to analyse and manipulate data for reporting.
- Ability to engage and work effectively with technical, legal, and regulatory matters.
- You have the **UK right to work** and are prepared to undertake relevant background checks.

KEY DUTIES*
*
Review, coordinate and get directly involved in all aspects of Carers Support West Sussex tenancy of the assigned properties
- Design premises plans that suit Carers Support West Sussex needs ensuring that the properties leased are in good condition and compliant with the law
- Inspect and arrange maintenance to meet standards for the properties, working with the leadership team to assign a lead as part of the premises plan
- Support the preparation of furnishings, fittings & equipment schedules and procurement as required
- Provide assurance and challenge of partner organisations regarding costs, delivery time frame and work
- Maintain a positive, productive relationship with landlords
- Negotiate lease/contracts with contractors in a timely and reliable manner
- Working with the finance team develop an annual budget by forecasting requirements and analysing variances, data, and trends
