Job Purpose:

- To carry out internal verification activities to meet the awarding body and company standards
- To support assessors by high lighting areas for improvement
- To support the Training Management Team

Specific Duties:

- Internally verify assessors work to ensure completions are maintained in-line with company objectives
- Develop a system to monitor assessment practise
- To ensure that national standards of assessment are maintained
- To highlight the development needs of the assessors
- Ensure Assessor CPD’s are up-to-date
- Recommend and communicate ideas for developing systems and practise

General Duties:

- Comply with statutory and company policies, and ensure that assessing / teaching staff comply with company policy
- Work collaboratively with the training management team to ensure company growth, profitability and achievement targets are met.
- Work collaboratively with the training management team to prepare for ESFA, Ofsted, Matrix
- Actively participate in, and promote, the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
- Actively involved in QA visits and liaises with the awarding body and EV as required
- Practice and promote the importance of equality and diversity considerations, both for learners, and within the workplace.
- Demonstrate positive and effective leadership to the assessing team
- Assess the skills of assessors. Create and implement plans to ensure their development
- Take part in new assessor inductions
- Work towards further professional qualifications to enhance skills and knowledge
- Produce effective reports on progress
- Plan and hold standardisation workshops and meetings
- Assist lead IV to monitor quality standards and assist in delivering A awards
- Freelance
