Kingston upon Hull, United Kingdom Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

The Data Coordinator post is a fundamental role within the Trust’s Trauma Audit Team ensuring that clinical information from patient records for trauma patients is extracted, interpreted and submitted in line with national deadlines, guidance and requirements.

The Data Coordinator will work within a small team providing administrative and secretarial support to the Trust’s Major Trauma Unit. A key function of the role is ensuring that all significant patient data is collected and recorded promptly and accurately on the Trauma Unit’s Patient Tracker in preparation for submission to national databases.

This will involve the identification, using identified inclusion criteria, of patients admitted to the Trust with major trauma and subsequent completion of data submissions via the Electronic Data Collection and Reporting (EDCR) system.

The Data Coordinator will have the responsibility for data submission to the National Major Trauma Database (TARN), working closely alongside the other members of the team to collect data on our inpatients ensuring that all requirements are met for our data quality and BPT targets.

The post holder will partake in admin duties alongside other members of the team which involves attending the Major Trauma MDT meeting in a morning, joining the Trauma of the week meetings and liaising with TARN coordinators from other trusts within the Major Trauma Network.

The post holder will also maintain close working relationships with other members across the Trust and Ambulance services to facilitate partnerships
