Your new role

We are looking for a Senior Regional Service Delivery Manager to join our team. Working closely with the National Roads Telecommunications Service (NRTS) supplier, the NRTS Regional Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for the smooth and efficientdelivery of road telecommunications services to Smart Motorways and regional schemes & projects.

Building a detailed knowledge of the services for which you are accountable, you will act as a point of knowledge and understanding during any escalations, supporting your team and the business in delivering timely resolutions of issues. You will work andengage with a diverse set of stakeholders across National Highways and our suppliers to resolve problems, improve service and implement new or changed services. You will manage the agreed services under your control from both an operational and tactical perspective.
What you’ll be leading on
- Attendance at Smart Motorway, National and Regional project meetings to represent NRTS and support the delivery of new NRTS services.
- Resolution of risks, issues and disputes between NRTS and scheme projects.
- Provide technical advice to schemes, projects sponsors and their supply chain on deployment of telecommunications services on the strategic road network.
- To ensure NRTS services are deployed in line with technical and contractual requirements.
- To participate in Audits of the NRTS supplier to ensure the integrity and quality of NRTS services is preserved. To undertake investigations into major NRTS incidents involving disruption and loss of services.
- Represent NRTS at various forums and stakeholder meetings.

To be successful
- Service delivery management in a technology driven environment. Able to write service designs, engage with a wide variety of stakeholders and pull together disparate information into meaningful documents to show clear operational responsibility and accountabilityto meet service and contractual requirements.
- Able to manage challenging relationships with internal and external teams and suppliers. Prioritises tasks and understands business need. Ensures services are measurable and improved. Ensures that services are available for users. Proactively manages problemswhich underpin service availability.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of telecommunication technology design and or operational technology. May have worked in a similar business e.g. utilities environment or large service integrator and is able to demonstrate exposure to the range of technologiesdeployed in operational technology environments. Makes data driven decisions that improve the service for the user and the business.
- Demonstrable experience of working with stakeholders to resolve complex technical problems and issues through to a resolution
- ITILv3 or ITIL v4 practitioner or significant demonstrable equivalent experience. Project and program management practitioner level such as Prince 2, SAFE, MSP etc or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Work to agreed timelines, goals and deliverables. Manage challenges in a positive constructive and responsive way. Communicate clearly with transparency and integrity.
