8.00am - 3:30pm Friday

**Job Purpose**
- To support students in relation to pastoral and behavioural issues. Work directly with students removing barriers to learning so that all can reach their full potential.
- To provide administrative support specific to the year group/s they will be working with

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Liaise with the Year Group Learning Manager(s), link Assistant Headteachers and other senior leaders to monitor and report on identified students or groups of students
- Provide support and advice to students to promote their social care and personal development, encouraging positive attitudes and behaviours around school
- Monitor punctuality and attendance to lessons and school following school procedures, identify and resolve student issues and barriers to attendance
- Ensure that all children are promptly registered for every session, following up on any students late/not registered for lessons (e.g. gone to another teacher without registering/counsellor etc.)
- Liaise with parents/carers and outside agencies to ensure students’ needs are met and keep them informed of progress and issues
- Implement the school’s behaviour policy with the allocated year group, including following up lesson support calls and social time issues
- Organise and record statements from children about issues/following any incidents, record on CPOMS and present to senior leaders
- Work one-to-one with targeted students to implement an action plan
- Provide extra support to students to access a range of activities and opportunities available
- Support student access to out of school facilities and study support
- Collate information and maintain confidential records of student behaviour, punctuality and attendance
- Oversee support packages for students to reintegrate them back into school following any periods of absence/suspension
- Prepare written reports, case studies and evaluations where appropriate
- Prepare and produce accurate reports for senior staff and external agencies
- Lead and attend parental or external agency meetings as appropriate
- Resolve issues relating to individual students and between students
- Maintain good working relationships with students, staff and parents to ensure positive outcomes for students
- Advise on individual support packages, pastoral care and referrals for students
- Undertake accompanied home visits
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding procedures
- Support Repair & Restore (R&R) sessions
- Support Learning Managers to ensure high standards of uniform are met by all students and resolve any issues
- Form effective and appropriate working relationships with young people and their families
- Completion of Early Help Assessments
- Targeted support for young carers, looked after children and previously looked after children
- Work effectively as part of a team, prioritising conflicting demands and managing own workload and wellbeing effectively
- Provide administrative support for the year group you are working with
- Ensure there is social time support for students who require it
- Meet with identified students about behaviour, punctuality or attendance issues, liaising closely with the Learning Manager and senior staff
- Analyse trends for the day/week/term, picking up issues early
- Check on children in lessons who are on report/returning from suspension
- Carryout duties at break and lunch supervising students
- Complete Level 3 Safeguarding training in order to deal with low level issues, working closely with senior staff
- Complete First Aid training

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Attend after-school CPD sessions
- Attend appropriate training courses and take responsibility for personal professional development opportunities.
- Participate in and provide support to the school in the organisation of assemblies, open days, parents’ evenings etc.
- Undertake supervision duties before, during and after the school day (e.g. Meet & Greet, Breakfast Club, lunchtime and after school clubs)
- Any other duties appropriate to the grade at the request of the Headteacher and SLT.
- Assisting in the absence of any other associate staff as directed by the Headteacher or Line Manager.
- To adhere to all school policies and procedures.

**Salary**: £20,276.00-£23,852.00 per year
