**Job description**:

- The Data Support post sits within the Utilities Water, Waste, Data and Policy implementation team, reporting to the Energy Data Manager. The role will support the departments energy consumption reporting requirements, both internal and legislative.**Person specification**:

- Ensure provision of energy consumption data from all MOD energy suppliers, reviewing upon receipt and directing any errors/queries back to suppliers.
- Process energy consumption data for upload into the Infrastructure Management System (IMS). Resolve any processing errors, advancing through appropriate partners where necessary.
- Build and maintain a complete list of energy supply points across the MOD, ensuring appropriate attributes and reference details are recorded to enable accurate analysis and reporting.
- Build energy management reports, enabling the analysis of Utilities consumption across all or designated parts of the MOD estate. Monitor and report MOD performance against Departmental and Government targets.
- Work to improve existing transactional data processes, maintaining desktop instructions to enable business continuity within the team.
- Engage with internal and external customers, developing an understanding of proposed contractual changes and implementing mitigation measures to ensure continued delivery of data requirements.

**Desirable Experience & Skills**

Within the role, use of Microsoft Excel is prevalent so a solid understanding at minimum of intermediate level would be highly advantageous, though a mix of formal and informal training will be offered to supplement that experience.
Familiarity with the remainder of the Microsoft Office suite of software would be beneficial.
