**About the role**:
The role will initially focus on our Microsoft SQL server on-prem estate but will lead on to the supporting a variety of technologies such as Oracle EBS 12.2 and Qlik Sense.

Reporting into the Application and Database manager the role will require you to work with other IT&DS departments such as Solution Architecture & Delivery, Development, Infrastructure and Security. We are currently going through a period of change and as a result you will also be assisting with a broad range of projects and technologies supporting delivery of top-class experiences for our customers and employees.

**What you will do**:

- Responsible for the management, support and maintenance of all SQL server and Oracle databases
- Clone/refresh Oracle EBS Dev, Test or Project environments
- “Traditional” DBA skills such as database server installation and configuration, database backup and restoration, authentication and performance tuning.
- Contributing to the architecture and delivery roadmap to ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
- Incident ticket ownership, ensuring all steps to identify and resolve the issue in a timely and effective manner

**Key Requirements**:

- Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and/or 2019
- SQL Server Always On Availability
- Comfortable with Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- Oracle Database 12c or 19c
- Passionate about delivering to a high standard.
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting

**Desirables**:

- Experience with Cloud technologies - Azure, Data Gateways, Power BI
- Lift and shift Oracle on-prem to cloud
- Oracle E-Business Suite R12
- Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse
- NoSql Databases - MongoDB, Redis

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
