We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated HR Operations Lead to join the Caledonian Sleeper (CSL) HR Team.

The HR Operations Lead is a new role which will lead on developing and managing of HR Operational Performance within CSL, leading on key HR operational activities. Developing and managing the end-to-end employee journey, processes, procedures, and operational metrics. This role will be responsible for managing HR Operational service delivery within CSL which includes case management, HR systems, query management and reporting. As well as leading on CSL people processes, this role will also partner with our people managers and teams to lead on HR initiatives promoting employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, performance and organisational change.

**Main Accountabilities**:
Manage the day-to-day HR Operations Service delivery for the end-to-end employee journey, processes, procedures, operational performance metrics to consistently deliver efficient, fit-for-purpose people services across the business
Continually review and streamline people processes to ensure excellent service delivery to our people and teams, identify trends or metrics to enable continuous improvement and evolution of HR Operational Performance
HR Service Delivery - ensuring appropriate work distribution and capacity is available, setting and managing standards of HR Operational excellence, clear view and understanding of the HR workflows, pinch points, volumes, escalations to manage the day-to-day HR Operations service delivery
Manage HR Operations team which includes case management, end to end employee journey, HR systems, query management and reporting
Lead on employee relation case management and be the escalation point for complex cases
Design and manage HR Operational Metrics and processes, provide insights and analysis of HR performance metrics, case work, key trends, develop better ways of working, process improvement and development of HR Operations Service delivery
Lead on HR Operational Change projects such as HR System implementation process improvements, Performance Management Frameworks and organisational changes
Work closely with Communications Manager to develop an employee engagement strategy and plan
Lead of Performance Management activities, coaching and developing line manager capability
Operate as a Business Partner across the wider business areas
HR Policies and Process Lead
Lead on Diversity and Inclusion across the employee lifecycle
Any other duties as agreed with Line Manager

**What you’ll need to do the role**:
Must be able to translate HR and business strategy into HR operational activities and processes
Strong working knowledge and experience of HR Service Delivery/ People Operations capabilities and processes
Experience of managing the full employee lifecycle, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, organisational change and HR Business Partnering
Previous experience of effectively leading and motivating a team
A focus on continuous improvement, with a willingness to challenge and contribute to change
You will be confident working with HR Systems, Excel and other Microsoft Office packages and will have a strong attention to detail
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate/interpret HR data and evaluate information objectively to be able to report on key HR Operational metrics
Strong understanding of developing and embedding HR policies and procedures, understanding the importance of smooth HR processes to improve employee experience
Ability to effectively problem solve, with demonstrated success in identifying and delivering new ways of working
Strong written communication and presentation skills
A flexible team player with a high level of initiative
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a varied workload
Good organisational skills to ensure deadlines are achieved
Flexible Mindset
Ability to create, build and maintain relationships with internal key stakeholders
Relevant HR qualification (desirable )
Willing and able to travel on occasion where appropriate
