**JOB OVERVIEW**

Are you passionate about creating an exceptional student experience? Do you possess the skills and vision to lead a team in delivering innovative and student-centred initiatives? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our organization as the Head of Student Experience on a fixed-term basis.

You will lead a highly effective Student Experience and professional services department, enabling students to thrive and study legally, safely, and successfully. The role ensures UKVI compliance in visa and attendance systems, and key quality assurance and enhancement activities are carried out according to Study Group, university partner and regulatory bodies’ requirements.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
- Lead and motivate Centre student experience and academic administration staff to contribute to ensuring the best possible student outcomes and student experience.
- Contribute to developing, communicating and enacting the strategy and priorities for the ISC.
- Provide effective performance management of direct reports, including setting personal objectives and KPIs; regularly reviewing the performance of direct reports; and conducting formal performance reviews according to company policy and procedures.
- Work in close collaboration with other members of the SMT including acting as a deputy when necessary
- Develop close and effective working relationships with key partners within Strathclyde University.
- Attend and actively contribute to relevant University Partnership Boards and Committees, work with University colleagues through approved liaison points and report regularly on these through the college's deliberative and management structures.
- Oversee the customer service operations of the ISC, ensuring consistently high levels of student satisfaction.
- Oversee the planning and management of student induction, to ensure all students receive a smooth, legally compliant and efficient entry into the ISC and that all necessary welfare arrangements are in place to facilitate each student’s academic success.
- Support team members in establishing proactive initiatives to target and measure improved student satisfaction and satisfaction of sponsorship organisations.
- Support the team members in ensuring any pastoral or student experience issues with students are managed efficiently and effectively.
- Line manage the student enquiries and Welfare team/ officers to ensure adequate access to pastoral and welfare is provided to students.
- Implement the appropriate quality assurance and enhancement processes to ensure the maintenance of educational oversight with the OfS.

**ABOUT YOU**
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Essential)
- Administration or management training or qualification (Essential)
- Experience in line management or supervising staff (Essential)
- Working in a pressurised environment
- Working with international students (Desirable)
- Working in a higher educational environment (Desirable)
- Using data and reporting systems.
