Advanced Clinical Practitioner

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LUHFT) are adopting a non-medical Consultant led model to manage non-surgical spinal patients across their Emergency Departments and In Patient wards, including the new Royal University Hospital site.
This presents an exciting opportunity for Allied Health Professionals and Nurses with a special interest in spines, including spinal cancer and fracture management, to join a team of autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioners with highly specialised knowledge and skills, advanced communication and the ability to make expert clinical decisions.
An Advanced Clinical Practitioner MSC Apprenticeship training post will be considered for experienced B7 staff looking to develop in this area.
The team will provide clinical leadership in the management of emergency and serious spinal pathologies and the prevention of unnecessary hospital admissions. They will work collaboratively with the wider MDT including the regional Surgical Team, regional and local cancer teams, Metabolic Bone and Infectious Disease teams and Interventional Radiologists.
