At Jewson we have a fantastic opportunity to join our team of Transport Allocator Planners to work in our Twickenham branch. The **Transport Allocator Planner **will work closely with the Transport Manager and our branch network, allowing us to continue to deliver our high level of customer service by planning and distributing the delivery our sales orders.

For this role we want someone who is excellent communicator and remains calm under pressure. You will be the key person in ensuring we meet our delivery expectations.

There are some skills and experience we are looking for from applicants:

- Previous experience within a logistics / transport role
- IT literate, experience using ICON system would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given
- Experience working with construction materials or in a builder’s merchants would also be beneficial to the role
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Problem solving and decision making
- Strong regional geographic knowledge
- Proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic attitude

**THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION, WORKING MONDAY TO FRIDAY PLUS ALTERNATE SATURDAYS**

**What will I be doing?**
- Allocate and plan the demand for customer deliveries in line with our delivery promise to ensure an excellent customer experience
- Utilisation of the BU resource in the most cost-effective way within our Operator Licence obligation
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective allocation / load planning of branch orders, inter-branch transfers (IBTs) and transfers
- Create transport capacity within the BU delivery network, and ensure that the capacity is transparent to the BU network
- Communicate and engage with the branch teams and delivery drivers
- Understanding and control of the Delivery Management System (DMS)
- Monitor the branch’s use of the DMS, ensuring good housekeeping of the data
- Work with LTM to ensure compliance with transport Operator Licence regulations
- Positively affect the key KPIs for your BU
- Ensure accurate data entry onto systems, spreadsheets, and databases
