**JOB ROLE**:Senior Support Worker

**LOCATION**: Ystradgynlais (SA9)

**SALARY**: £12.80 - £13.40* per hour

Due to continued growth, we are urgently seeking full time (35 hours per week) Senior Support Workers to join our team at Isfryn.

If you are a Care Assistant / Support Worker with an NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care and the enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every, this may be the role for you

**About Isfryn**:
Isfryn is situated in between the village Ystylafera and the town of Ystradgynlais, in the beautiful Swansea valleys.

There are 8 people living at Isfryn, six men and two women. Each person has a brain injury, and some have a secondary mental health diagnosis.

Isfryn is mostly a calm environment although it can be busy. Staff state it is a rewarding place to work. We need staff who will support the people here with their personal daily needs and activities. People like to go out into the community to do various things like attending church, the cinema, visit the pub, café and shopping

Transport links are limited on Sundays.

**As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including**
- Managing a team of Support Workers
- Providing high standards of care and support for service users, in line with care and support plans
- Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
- Accurately report, record and maintain records as required and working to care plans
- Liaise with health professionals and their families
- Complete supervisions and audits
- To ensure that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards, and that all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home.
