We are looking for an all-rounder, the whole team get stuck into all aspects of the centre, and we all support one another and cross-service areas. Everything is everyone’s responsibility, this can be answering phones, dealing with queries, using social media, covering if we have sickness with cleaning or supporting any service. It gives the right individual the real experience of what it's like to work in a third-sector organisation with a small team and get a real feel for how everything works.

In return for the effort given we will ensure that all development opportunities are provided, skills and tools given to support you with the apprenticeship qualification. Offering experiences on day-to-day life across all areas of the organisation gives a great experience of work, offers lots of foundation skills to be used in later working life and gives a real grounded experience to take on into the future.

The successful applicant will work towards a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner with Dewentside College on-site at Hadton House. Units will relate to the work they will be carrying out and benefit from having a previous apprentice in the team who can support them to achieve.

**Key duties could include but not solely be**:

- Creating designs for social media
- Answering telephones
- Dealing with public queries
- Supporting the admin team
- Being part of session work with older people or young people on a 1-2-1 or group basis
- Working with the team to plan events and fundraising activities
- Offering new ideas, thoughts, and support to the team
- Helping with diary management
- Recording data and helping make presentations
- Being part of events and helping the team deliver the objectives
- Helping keep the centre and work areas clean and tidy

**Key essential criteria**:

- Clear understanding of confidentiality and the need for it
- Trustworthy, reliable and pass a DBS criminal record check
- Interest in the work we do locally and making a difference in the community
- Ability to act professionally and confidently in communicating in writing and face-to-face with members of the public
- Fun and outgoing personality
- Good IT (Google system) skills
- Willingness to go over and beyond and share the passion of the wider team
- Self-motivation to work hard towards your apprenticeship qualification
- Good standard of maths and English
- Polite and respectful

**Job Type**: Apprenticeship

**Salary**: From £5.50 per hour
