The Deputy Head of School for Pathology is responsible for assisting the Head of School in managing the Pathology Training programme across NHS England (NHS E) London Local Office.

This is a 1 x 2 PA Deputy Head of School vacancy.

The Deputy Head of School for Pathology will ensure that both national standards, determined by the Royal College of Surgeons, and also guidelines and standards established within London are met.

The Deputy Head of School for Pathology will be expected to assist the Head of School in implementing national and NHS E policies in relation to the education and training of junior doctors within Pathology.

The successful applicant will work closely with the LaSE team including; PGMDE Business Manager and the Healthcare Education Team, Head of School, Postgraduate Dean, and other key departments including Quality.

They will work with the Postgraduate Dean to produce doctors who will strive for the highest standards of patient-centred care and commit themselves to a lifetime of professional development.

They will work with the London Postgraduate Deans, Training Programme Directors and the HET team to produce doctors who will strive for the highest standards of patient-centred care and commit themselves to a lifetime of professional development.
