As a **Case Officer**, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's members through the complaints and disciplinary process. You'll work closely with our Governance colleagues and Investigators to ensure everything runs smoothly and by the Disciplinary Regulations. **Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Acting as the first point of contact for Professional Conduct activities, ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly, accurately documented and progressed to the relevant progress where required
- Managing day-to-day activities with the complaint process, ensuring established processes are followed within agreed timeframes
- Maintaining an accurate and current case management system
- Supporting the handling of disciplinary hearings, including but not limited to the collation and presentation of all evidence required and effective administration of the Committee and hearing
- Progressing CPD Audit cases through the disciplinary process as appropriate
- Providing support for cases of misrepresentation and 'Fit and Proper Person (very serious cases of Member conduct)
- Contributing to the development of Rules and Regulations of Professional Competence and Conduct and Disciplinary Regulations as required, offering recommendations and suggestions as appropriate
- Regularly monitoring disciplinary activity and implementing process improvements
- Excellent administration skills, with strong attention to detail, high level of diligence and ability to keep accurate records
- Demonstrable experience within a legal or regulatory environment, with the ability to draft technical documents and reports, produce bundles of evidence and arrange and document complex meetings
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate at all levels from senior staff, and technical experts to members of the public
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload, in line with agreed processes
- Experienced in dealing with confidential matters
- Strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office, Teams and CRM systems
- Experience within the construction or built environment sector would be desirable.
