Cancer Research UK’s Finance team’s credibility and professionalism in handling income fundraised by public generosity is essential to the smooth running of our organisation. As a large, complex organisation with nearly 600 shops, 570 yearly events, and thousands of supporters we receive income through several income streams. In 2022/23, the charity gained £34.4m in Gift Aid income making Gift Aid essential to the charity’s growth and success.

We’re looking for an Executive Data Administrator to join our Gift Aid team based in Oxford. In this role, you will support the processing of accurate and compliant Gift Aid claims, ensuring donor data is up to data in CRM systems. You don’t have to have worked with Gift Aid before, we are looking for a detail orientated Data Administrator with great excel and systems knowledge. You might come from a retail or, operations background or have experience in payment processing. You could be someone keen to take their first step into a finance role, as you will be working closely with the Finance Operations teams (if you are interested in learning more about finance, or pursuing a career in finance, then there is an opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification - AAT).

This is an opportunity for you to contribute your acute attention to detail, love of data, and Excel skills to a purpose-driven organisation. Your legacy by the end of your contract will be to have made a huge difference in the income we can claim for the charity, ultimately helping the charity in funding more research to beat cancer.

**What will I be doing?**
- Carrying out the day-to-day requirements of Gift Aid claim administration:

- This involves generating and cleansing data, completing testing criteria, and adapting and managing issues to gain claim sign-off.
- Producing analytical reporting from gift aid claims testing ensuring to highlight any areas of concern, possible training requirements, and knowledge gaps in processing teams.
- Producing relevant reporting to assist in communicating Gift Aid income levels and take up rates, whilst promoting the importance of Gift Aid as an income generator.
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation and support materials are in place for Gift Aid across multiple teams. This will involve making sure documents are version controlled and are in line with both the charity’s systems and HMRC regulations.
- Helping educate Income processing teams and monitoring information input to ensure that Gift Aid regulatory requirements are adhered to by all staff.
- Supporting the Gift Aid Compliance and Engagement Manager, where required, in ensuring Gift Aid policies and procedures are followed correctly.

**What skills will I need?**

To be considered for this role, you must have the right to work in the UK as this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (any applicants without the right to work in the UK will be declined.
- Previous experience working with database systems while ensuring accurate and efficient data entry with high attention to detail.

- Effective time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and set KPIs.
- Ideally has a knowledge and understand of Gift Aid, HMRC, and/ or GDPR regulations (this is desirable meaning we are open applicants without this knowledge).

**What will I gain?**

Each and every one of our employees contributes to our progress and is supporting our work to beat cancer. We think that’s impressive.
