To support the research team within Infection & Inflammation Research. You will be approachable, flexible and have excellent communication skills. Workload will be varied and you will possess the ability to organise and prioritise own workload meeting conflicting deadlines.

Main duties of the job

1. Administrative duties to include taking telephone calls from patients, Sponsor companies, Sponsor representatives, all in an approachable and professional manner.

2. Upload accruals to EDGE repository in a weekly manner to capture all research activity within the team.

3. Prioritise daily workload ensuring deadlines are adhered to.

4. Support the research team with ordering of supplies necessary for maintaining efficient running of the clinical research trials. This includes but is not limited to, laboratory blood kits, dry ice and consumables relating to devices used in the conduct of the clinical trials.

5. Attend relevant MDTs where necessary to aid in patient recruitment.

6. Use EPIC to assist in pre-screening patients for suitable clinical trials.

7. Arrange meetings as necessary both within the Trust and with outside representatives including identifying suitable locations.

8. Assist with patient visits undertaking key procedures, such as booking of appointments within Epic, booking of transport, accommodation and other required patient activity.

9. Perform data entry onto each e-portal relevant for each clinical research trial.

10. Maintain oversight of documents and document control.

11. To develop personal/professional skills and the role, within the division to encompass future requirements.

Essential criteria
- Educated to A level/NVQ level 3 OR GCSE/BTEC with relevant previous clinical experience.Desirable criteria
