Caerphilly, United Kingdom Holistic Hoarding Full time

**Role Profile - Holistic Hoarding Therapeutic Support Worker**

**Introduction**

Holistic Hoarding (Community Interest Company) was established in 2019 as a training and consultancy company, delivering ‘Trauma-Informed Approaches to Hoarding Disorder’ training on behalf of the NHS Recovery College and the Chartered Institute of Housing as part of their core training provision.

Holistic Hoarding was founded after observing a significant increase in the number of referrals to floating support services, where hoarding was identified as the lead challenge in tenancy sustainment. It was discovered that there was very little existing support provision in South Wales for individuals with this mental health condition, despite increasing numbers of people living with hoarding disorder and potentially facing eviction.

In 2021, Holistic Hoarding expanded beyond its core training provision to also deliver a full support model, providing intensive holistic support to individuals with hoarding disorder in the Caerphilly Borough and Newport. The service has been commissioned by Supporting People through the Housing Support Grant, enabling people to continue to live in their homes, retaining independence and living safer lives within their community.
