Our client in the retail/distribution sector are looking for a suitably experienced Payroll Manager to lead their payroll function spanning 250 employees. The business is well-established and continues to develop and grow. Based in Grimsby, the role offershybrid working across the office and home.

This exciting opportunity gives the post holder full responsibility for complete end to end payroll processing.

Payroll will be for 250 people across 11 sites, operating 4 PAYE codes (two 4 weekly paid and two for monthly salaries). The role also boasts involvement on a leading project to bring salaried payroll in-house.

Duties will include:

- Using time and attendance software daily
- Play a pivotal role in a high profile transformation project to a new HR & payroll system
- Processing all new starter payroll set ups
- Calculating and monitoring holiday payments and allocations
- Monitoring and calculating hours worked via casual staff
- Recording in detail all absences and associated documentation
- Process statutory payments
- Effectively manage and process leaver payroll
- Produce ad hoc as well as weekly and monthly reports on payroll statistics

We’re looking for someone who can build strong and effective relationships with each site in order to ensure accurate payroll communications
- Previous payroll processing experience both weekly and monthly
- Supervisory experience
- Familiarity with best practice Payroll
- Confident use of Microsoft Excel
- The ability to work collaboratively with individual site managers and other departments
- Experience using ADP Freedom / ADP EZLabor Manager systems is advantageous
