All applicants must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Associate Training Programme and Registered with the UK Faculty of Physician Associates Managed Voluntary Register.

Working on the acute oncology and haematology assessment unit (AOHAU) in Singleton hospital, examining and diagnosing patients with acute oncological emergencies. The unit is designed for unscheduled patients requiring assessment and has no inpatient capacity. Patients will receive timely assessments by the physicians associate and a decision whether to admit to ward 12, transfer or discharge the patient will be made. The AOHAU currently has a same day discharge rate of >70%.

The post holder will also be expected to rotate to Morriston hospital to work as part of the AOS and offer expert advice to the teams caring for oncology patients.

The post holders development will be over seen by a named consultant and day to day duties by the on-call team.
